the rep should be much higher to post an ad, also posts count. Maybe 100 posts, and like 30 rep, since all knows rep4rep and gets it quick. That amount of rep isn't alot, no one's gonna join a server from some newbie which is poorly optimised, so it's no point of advertising it.

And encourage people to spam the forums with useless posts so that they can get their post count up that high to post an ad? No thanks.

Making them "achieve rep" basically encourages the same behavior. The more you post the more chances for gaining reputation you have.

I honestly don't see why this restriction was placed in the first place. Why regulate who can post a server advertisement based on a general reputation titled to someone based on other members' opinion? To stop all the "crappy server advertisements"? So what? They have just as much right to post one as anyone else; this is a mod open to all. Not to mention, people who open those types of servers are more than likely to find the massive amount of loop-holes around the system. If we regulate who posts their ads we should regulate what servers are able to be added to the master list in the first place (which makes no sense).

Also, if that is in fact the reason, who is the one that deems which server is "shitty"? I know many people who actually enjoy playing on GodFather edits. "But those are the retards that ruin this mod". Those are also the "retards" that make up over 50% of this modifications community and keep it alive.

Just because someone isn't active on the forum it doesn't mean their server isn't any good. You know that, I know that and the SA-MP team knows that, and that is why that is absolutely NOT the reason that there are requirements to post in that section.

I'd say it's more an anti-abuse feature so that, for example, a person could not create lots of accounts to post the same ad multiple times. Of course the posts would be deleted and the user would be banned, but that would make even more work for the admins, and having these requirements eliminates that issue.

then simply increase just reputation to 30 from 15, and keep everything else same as in https://sampforum.blast.hk/showthread.php?tid=464581

Haha hes asking if we can set it up so you have to have an account older than 30 days before being able to post ads.

I'm closing this thread as I feel the discussion (and the hundreds like it here) has run its course.
