Best Server Host
#1

Introduction

I am not asking for a list of sever hosts - I already have a list (which happens to be posted as a sticky in this section). Instead, I am trying to find the best host for my community. I intend on purchasing as many (if not all) of the necessary servers from a single vendor; therefore, I would like to find the most reliable host possible.

What do I need?

I need to find the most reliable host that offers web hosting, SA:MP servers, and TeamSpeak3 servers. If the host does not offer one of the secondary servers (web hosting or TeamSpeak3), I will still consider their services a possibility for the other two options.

Basically, I would like you to tell me about your experience (I am particularly speaking to individuals who have run communities with large amounts of traffic) with that host and whether or not you would recommend them.

Server Hosting was never the best unless you particularly host it yourself with your own servers. Purchase a VPS or a Dedicated Server and get your things stored inside - this way, you'll keep things combined and save a lot of money.

This is coming from a previous community owner with 300+ playerbase.

If I may ask, who did you purchase your dedicated server with? Were you pleased with your experience?

If you lack experience in Linux servers, then stay away from doing your own things. A lesson can be that you should also stay away from Windows servers. It is true that they are the easiest to use and to set up via Remote Desktop Connections but you will always be a victim of DDoS attacks.

As for the providers, if you are looking for a professional Dedicated Server that even hosting companies use for their servers, I recommend Soft Layer. I have used the first package in this link for my servers which I have used to host a TeamSpeak 3 server, webhosting, SA-MP server. It was using around 50-60% of the RAM.

If you plan to run larger community then I would recommend you to buy a VPS or a dedicated server.

Hi RVRP

It sounds as if you want a decent Vps, if your still looking you may want to visit our site http://pingperfect.com/vps.php where we offer a product called a "Gaming VPS"

It's a virtual server that you get full access to via rdp, your own ip and the ability to host many many samp servers (and others if you wanted through our game files folder which contains everything you need to host more than 40 different game servers)

For just Ј29.99 a month you get a virtual 3.4ghz CPU, 2gb ram, 60gb had space, unlimited bandwidth all on server 2008r2

And if that wasn't enough we are so confident in our products that we offer a free weeks trial

Thanks

Pingperfect's back?! WOOHOO!!!

I suggest Latency Host, since they're offering everything to your needs, web-hosting and SA-MP servers. They're setting up their teamspeak 3 services real soon enough. Hope this helps.

That's not a bad deal at all! That free weeks trial can be good for people to test out what pingperfect is really all about.
