I'm creating a gamemode LS CnR (only made mapping & administration+teams no privilages), but wonder if it'll be an Epic Fail because of the several good servers with the same GM , any ideas? should I contunue or Make other GM(exept RP).? thanks.

From what I've seen... How good the GM is really plays little parts in its popularity lol. How that works I don't know... That's just what I've seen over the years. I've seen completely awesome bug free modes that get 0 players while bug ridden servers get a lot of em. I guess it's more of an advertising thing... Strong community that tries getting their friends to join etc.

I'll be honest, right now is one of the worst times to open a server. Just take a look on the hosted tab at how many servers with 0 players are, then the amount of 3-5, then 5-10, then 10-20 etc. Only about 10 servers can actually handle 100+ players and they've been around a LONG time with a huge staff and backing.

He doesn't want to waste his time if it won't take off, and to be honest it looks that way with the amount of servers about these days.

If you're dedicated enough and you advertise well, you could do fine. Surely if you get onto the hosted tab, I can't see why not, though it costs money for such a venture. Just be aware of that before you start investing too much time in such a project because it will naturally begin to require more funding.

On hosted there are tons of servers with 0, probably more with no players on than with players.

Yup, the truth is there is just no room for new servers these days unless it is something completely new and unheard of.
