hey everyone,

ok so my friend made sorta Special Radio for our server, called Streetrodz radio, he put alot of work in it, and its 46 mins long, but now it doesnt wants to stream....

it just doesnt responds at all, it DOES sends the message: audiostream: link, but it doesnt sounds anything, at me not, and not at my friends pc, and idk wuts wrong with it... so does anybody knows wuts wrong with it?

and it only works in ****** Chrome, could it be that it first buffers the link, and THEN plays it after a long time?

also how to fix this, i really wanna fix this, my friend put alot of time and work in it and now it doesnt works

eehm, what do you mean exactly with bit rates?, and no we didnt tried other hosts and formats, i already had that idea, but my friend said it wouldnt help, and he is 1 year older than me and studying in those things, so i thought, okay then it wont work... but which formats/bit rates/hosts do you suggest?

ah so you mean, the file is just too big for samp to read? and what do you suggest to do then? making it smaller is 1 option, but that makes the song worser, so isnt there another solution for it?

i see, well my friend isnt responding atm, but when he is, i will ask him to convert the file to another format, or try another host, and try other bit rate, or wut it is xD i think he knows wut a bit rate is

EDIT: my friend finnaly responds , he is now gonna convert it to a .wav, but is there anyone who has a list of the formats that work on samp? and could you post it here then? ty

Hi all,

Niels and i are having this problem,

Let me explain:

I made a mp3 file with music in it and its about 40 minutes long. Like a "server radio station" was a good idea but ye,

I uploaded it to the public folder of dropbox so it will be downloadable for everyone who has the link,
Niels used some dropbox links too for a few mp3 files, they work, all same in the public folder of dropbox.

Has anyone an idea what the problem could be ?
i converted the mp3 file to wav now, maybe that works ? have no idea. maybe niels can post the part of the radio script ??

109 megabyte mp3 file? Are you insane? Even on a high speed connection like mine it takes more than a minute to download. By reducing the sampling format from a 32 bit float to a 16 bit PCM you can reduce the filesize by a good 60% without notable quality loss.

I set it to 128kb/s file, now its 64mb, sending it to niels44 now

Its playing from dropbox, it should buffer just like ******* and the direct link webbrowser player
