Hello everyone, or you, especially you, you are reading this. I need help. After a long year or two of no playing SAMP I decided to come back. Not for roleplay, not for just playing, but mostly scripting. Last time I started to get it going, I was making really awesome stuff (automatic blowjob NPC and so on (lonely programmer..)) and small gamemodes. Never finished something big or made a server. Now, as I am back, I was like going to check out some new advertisements.. And all I see..
SOME ROLEPLAY [Sometimes 24/7] [Refunding][First 5 get admin][Ravens RP]
And so on.. And then, in scripting discussion threads people who I still remember from the SAMP forums from a long time ago, are saying and agreeing with me. "Why is there no freeroam server? Only roleplay servers, which are all the same and boring. Nothing new.. This is ****". Looking through gamemodes (which are still all roleplays) there are a few stunt/freeroam ones but none awesome ones. Now there were just 2 servers which I noticed - GamerX and UIF. Played on both - alot like what they were 1 year ago, but with A TON OF PLAYERS! People love it, as I can see.
After now scripting from time-to-time and doing small things, I decided to actually try to do something with my boring, lonely life in my room, and came up with a pretty nice idea.
Now this is the part where I need help.
Developing a server - sounds easy, right? Well, me being wrong, it consists of people. Now those people dont exist in my friends list who are willing to try. Let me list the main people here -
1. Development team (1, often 2 programmers working on the server)
2. Mappers (who make stunts, custom places and all that, depending on server size 1-3 sometimes.)
3. Administration team (depending on the server again, self-explanatory)
4. Forums managers (help manage the forums, they are the heads of the forum)
5. (Alot of servers dont have this one) TeamSpeak/Ventrilo managers. (People who make chat happen)
I can only check number 1, and even partially. But its a good part! So, as you can see.. I am missing a few things here! Yes, as I am trying to start a community here its not really working out so well, but I see potential. I see hope. A bright light, in the corrupt, dark roleplay SAMP we have today. So I am asking you, fellow people, now and here, is anyone even interested in playing in a freeroam server?
A freeroam server - Stunt, minigames, all that COMBINED! I know right!
- Custom places to hang out at, many custom maps
- Events! Races, DMs and all that! For a prize!
- Minigames (automatic, but smaller events)
- Last, but not least, freedom. Do what you want. Want to tune a Sultan after 5 seconds of spawning? No problem! Spawn a vehicle and tune away!
I am developing this server. I am still seeing hope. Base is done - betatesting is being done. Its just a small object right now. But I know we can make it happen, if people support it. We need suggestions. We need feedback. Is there actual hope?
PS. Please dont say "eehehehehe lololol everyone is here for roleplay these days" or "just do and see what happens". I know. I know. I just need opinions. Afterall, if you are ready, I am ready.
