SA-MP on Windows 8
#1

It is a few weeks before Windows 8 comes out and I'm thinking of upgrading my W7 to W8, but before doing so I would love to know if SA-MP will be compatible with W8 when it comes out, and if not, if it will be soon after.

Cheers

Windows 8 is based on windows 7. So yes SAMP is compitable with windows 8.

It defenitly should and would. Am sure SA-MP started on XP, and they didnt have to make any major updates for vista, and win7

I have win 8 on my laptop and yes sa-mp runs on it, but windows 8 sucks for development, because it's just messed up , it's like a tablet , not a pc.

I am currently using windows 8 release preview and sa-mp is working fine, even better performance then windows 7. But i had problems with sa-mp live and other programs like that.

True, windows 8 is not bad at all. About sa-mp live, it didn't worked on my desktop (windows 7) either -.- For me was sa-mp live a waste. sa-mp live was like a fail announce and so ... I couldn't even test it.

In general i can say if it sa-mp works on windows xp, windows 7 ... then ofcourse it would work on windows 8.

I have the Windows 8 full version, legal yes. About everything works on it and it even keeps the current files from your Windows 7, XP and so on.

It's not really like a tablet OS but more like a new metro interface, as Microsoft needed to come up with something new aswell.
