Fwrite deleting existing data.. ?

Hey guys, I've been working with fwrite some more, but I'm getitng this wierd issue, fwrite is deleting part of an existing line for some reason, does anyone know situations where it could happened?

You must use append mode

Sorry my bad I forgot to mention I am using readwrite mode.
I meant deleting a part of an existing line, not all the data.
