I would like to learn everything i can about VPS
Controlling,securing installing and setting up things like FTP,DNS,LAMP and so on
I would like to simulate it from windows 7.

I think its possible with VirtualBox.If someone know how i can simulate one VPS please reply
I also looking for some good forum where i can find some tutorials and where people actually gonna respond on some problems

Try oracle box, you will need a lan and wireless connection or something, since 1 will get owned by oracle.

If it's a Linux vps you want to simulate, and if you mean simulate it as in a raw vps where you only have ssh as a connection option, I recommend Virtual Box.

Assuming you have it installed and a Linux operating on it, then make sure you have the right network settings cause otherwise you won't be able to connect to it from your computer. In Virtual Box's Settings/Network, make sure the Adapter you have enabled has "Attached to:" "Bridged Adapter". And yea, if your'e experienced with Linux you should know that to get the ip from the Linux operating system you type "ifconfig" in the terminal( inet addr: ). And connect to that ip trough ssh(I prefer Putty client).
