AMD Phenom II 960t vs. 965 BE
#1

I want to buy one of them but I don't know which one to buy. 965 BE has 3.4 GHz default and 960t has 3.0, but 960t can be unlocked to 6 cores.
Here is the 965 BE : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103727
And here is the 960t: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103995

It depends on the motherboard as well. You need a motherboard with Advanced Clock Calibration. You also want to remember not all the CPU's are unlockable, read more at http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...king,2627.html. Also buying a 6x Core AMD CPU is only like an extra 20 dollars on newegg.

I'm not an Intel fan. I mean I can't say anything about them because I never had one, and I don't think it's the moment to try them. And I simply believe that an AMD can make a good job. That's my opinion

I'm not from USA, I'm from Europe and here the pc hardware is more expensive than in USA. For example the 960t costs at newegg 125$, and here it costs 180$.
Well, i know what's the story with the ACC. I wanted to buy the 960t and I watched a lot of reviews. But it's no more available at the store I wanted to buy from and I checked another site. There i saw the 965 with 3.4 GHz default and I wanted to know if i should buy it.
