Help! - Router/Master Server Range Ban Problem?
#1

Hello Everyone!

A couple days ago I purchased San Andreas (Couldn't find my other CD) in hope of returning to San Andreas Multiplayer after a few months of absence.

After downloading and installing Samp (0.3C R3), and attempting to connect to United States Roleplay, the server was not responding and it would just loop itself in attempt to reconnect.

I was initially convinced this was a firewall issue therefore have spent the past two days trouble shooting.

I have:

* Port forwarded and tests all the ports used for SAMP and SA and the server itself (All of which is working)

* Disabled all of my computer firewalls (Which had no affect)

I even reinstalled San Andreas and made sure that my software was up to date, all of which is okay.

After trying every single solution attempt I have come to the conclusion that my IP must be under some sort of master server range ban?

Is it possible to please exempt my Internet Protocol (2.26.240.147) from this is list (If the IP is on it) as this is the only viable reason for me being unable to connect to any samp servers.

No other of my games are affected by my router or firewalls so i'm guessing this is the problem.

Any advice & help would be much appreciated!

Thank You

Michael Sharpe

Kalcor has sent me the following..

''Hello,

SA-MP doesn't have the means to block players from connecting to SA-MP servers. We can block people from being able to access the server lists, but that doesn't stop people playing.

Only individual servers can place blocks like the one you're describing. Maybe try another server.''

I have tried other servers and it wont let me connect to any.

The ports 7777, 27015 and 5450 are all open and I've even tried connecting with windows firewall off yet still not able to join.

Please assistance would be much appreciated!

PS. I've also tested on another internet source (famiily members house) and I could connect to servers with no problem, which proves it must be some sort of net problem...

When you add a server to your favourites list, does it display the server name/ping/players or does it show "(Retrieving Info...)[..]" ?

I get all of the information,

I've even pinged the server from my router and through my command console and it sends and recieves packets with no problem.

This evening i've even had one of the server owners remote access my PC and look over the router settings and we've still had no luck.

This isn't just a specific problem for United States Roleplay I get the same 'Trying to Reconnect' 'Cannot Connect to Server' with every single server.

And again all the ports for SA and SAMP are open and verified by Port Checker software, samps client is up to date and the firewall is not blocking it.

Are you sure you use the correct version that is compatible with the server?

Make sure the server hasn't updated its IP. Also make sure you have the correct version of Samp the server works on.
