Setting up a WAMP server, help needed
#1

Hey guys,

Im trying to set up a WAMP server, but somehow it doesnt work. When i start the WAMP server, and start the services; im going to my internet explorer, and type 'localhost' in the adress bar. Then im going to localhost; that all works. When i wait a second, it will load the page; but it wont go to index.php (yes, there is a index.php file in my www directory). I get a blank page, with the text:
Код:
This site is running TeamViewer.

Free Port 80 for other applications in advanced settings.
After i saw that, i port-forwarded port 80 on my router, gave my pc a static ip so it wouldnt change. Then i restarted all services, and tried to go to localhost again, and still got the same message as above.

Does anyone know what the problem can be, or how to fix this?

~Wesley

Edit:
I just ******d around, and found the problem. Teamviewer is using this port somehow, and when you have teamviewer open, you cant contact localhost. Dont ask me how this works, its just how it is.
Now i got a new problem with this; when i go to localhost, its showing nothing and giving me the error 'Problems with laoding web page.'. Does anyone know how to solve this? I started every service, restarted it a couple times; didnt work

Shut down teamviewer, skype or whatever applications that you have... They use port 80.
Also G oogle helps too.

I would suggest XAMPP 1.7.3. to run stuff like this.

Btw you dont have to close teamviewer, all you do is go into options, advanced options, look for the port 80 option, untick it, back to topic.

Have you tried checking the settings on your WAMP Control Panel? Apache and crap

Worked for me.

Open Services.msc > Web Deployment Service > Stop the service.

Ive just fixed the problem, once again. Dunno what i did; but it worked.
Now i got a new problem.. yes, another one

When i tried to contact localhost, it didnt show me the index.php, but just a white screen with the text:
Код:
Forbidden

You don't have permission to acces / on this server.
Im logged in as an administrator (since its my home pc), and aswell started wamp as admin.
Anyone has a clue how this can be solved?

I guess forwarding ports can help. Because same happened to me but when I tried it on a friend's system, it actually worked because he has all of his ports forwarded through DMZ.

And which port should i forward? Ive already opened the HTML one and 7777 for my samp server

Edit:
Solved the problem! I can now enter my localhost.
Localhost didnt allow any ip, not even 127.0.0.1. Ive had to change some settings in the folder 'alias'.
Thanks everyone for helping!
