Hi,

I noticed a remarkable compiler-speed difference between my laptop and my mother's new desktop. Because my laptop broke down, i used her desktop for some time. On my laptop, the Pawn Compiler takes ~ 40 seconds to compile my ~ 15000 line script. (most part is in includes) On my mom's PC, it takes 1-2 seconds with exactly the same script. That's really weird. How i can gain more compiler speed? I use CCleaner to keep my PC clean and to get back some speed, but that won't work for the compiler.

Tips, anyone?

Just the usual virus scanners and stuff. Sometimes WAMPserver.

EDIT: I did a test, and the average compiling time is 40 second. That's much, much worser than i thought it was.

Well maybe there is a difference between the hardware, which makes either one faster?
Especially with Laptops.

Faster CPU, more cores, more RAM etc all influence compiling time. Laptops are and will probally stay slower then dekstops. (atleast for now they will).

Clearly a computer with more computing power will compile faster.
Incidentally, if the compiler had a CUDA option, your video card could compile it in a fraction of the time.

Because laptops are slower then Desktops, and more ram and more CPU Speed would make it faster, and more smooth to compile around 1-10 secs, My compiler compiles in 30 sec for an a large scripts. and it has just 1.5 gb ram, but the worst CPU in earth.
