Almost on every post on this forum there lies at least one comment about someone's use of grammar, parallelism, wordiness, and / or voice. This thread is intended to stop the arguments about one's use of proper / improper English, and to stop discriminatory comments on age and race. I realize that starting this thread completely contradicts my last point, but keep reading..
Some of you may be thinking that this does not make any sense.
I have gone through most posts in this forum and have listed a select few discussions (from other threads) below in this thread. My intention here is to show that a person, x, who insults another person, y, because of their improper use of English (or their use of English at all) is much worse. All names are anonymous and to be kept that way. Most of the comments below are excerpts from whole posts.
I made sure that I am not demeaning the main idea of any one comment, and what was inferred in the original post is of equal value here.
---------------
Let's Start With Example 1:
So one day, about 2-3 days ago I was browsing a topic about Role Play servers. The discussion was: Learn how to run a proper roleplay server, and manage it efficiently. I came across some remarks to a person's post on the issue. Below are the comments exchanged. This example serves to show everyone the types of comments we REALLY DO NOT need on this forum.
Person X:
Person Y's reply in response to Person X's post:
Person X's reply in response to Person Y's post:
What is wrong with this discussion? Person X is not only commenting on Person Y's spelling, but he or she is also discriminatory on the persons age. Not all 12 year old kids have horrible English. Person Y is not stupid at all, a fact that Person X seems to contradict. The SA-MP community is full of people from different countries, which makes us all unique and different. Not all of us will speak the same language nor will we all know the proper structure of the particular language. But that does not make us any less smarter, or stupider.

Example Two:
Person X:
Person Y's reply in response to Person X's post
Person Z in response to Person Y's reply
It only takes one comment to stir a negative discussion among two or more people. We do not need this, and to those people being insulted especially do NOT need this. We are one community, and we must learn to work together and get along with one another, regardless of what language one may speak, where one may come from or how old one is.
Many of you that are reading this thread probably own a server, or help run a server with a decent sized community. If you want that community to do well then learn to be considerate to others otherwise people will get angry. Most of you who are reading this point will realize that this is a given fact, but for those that do not, pull out your TI-83 (or use a TI-89; it's my favorite) graphing calculator, graph the trend, and look at it. You will notice that the servers with the population of people who discriminate other people based on those three factors aforementioned are what is causing that downward trend.
I am sure I made my point clear enough. I hope this thread reminded most of you that SA-MP is one community, and we can have equally as much fun without insulting one's use of proper English, proper use of any other language, race, age, etc...

You yourself seem to me like a 12 year old considering your spelling, putting your actions inside of a quotation of what a guy says and pointing out the most obvious things. |
Quote:
First thing, im 16 ,second thing im Bosnian and sorry for my bad english |

Well, being stupid is a part of being a kid, I guess. |

Your server is destined to fail by those 'changes'. |

/Sarcasm. But, you will not get far, your grammar is terrible, your spelling is quite bad. The most world-wide spoken language is English, and roughly, 95% of this forum speaks it, 85% speak it well.. (disregarding the bilingual sub-forums). |
