Hey, I recently got a new mac, an iMac Core 2 Duo, it's not new ( owned by mom ) Late 2006, What are some good applications? It's running 10.6 Snow Leopard, I am thinking of upgrading to Lion, But not yet. Also, Know any games? I know it can run games, It has pretty good hardware.

Visit eBay and sell it, that's the best thing for it.

You just wasted $1000 dollars on something you could probably buy for under $500.

No, I'm a teenager and it's the summer holidays - we don't return to college for another ~4 weeks.

Mac OS mostly is good for working as it is stable and easy to use..
Most Adobe apps will do for that^^
Sorry that I can't tell you more I'm using an iMac only at school

Anyway, despite my anti-Mac behaviour, Macs are good for using creative software (such as graphics, video and music editing/creation). You shouldn't bother trying to game on them, they've only really just got a few games ported over recently, wait a few years when they might actually be OK for gaming on. Otherwise, sell it or run BootCamp.

I'm ~18 and I'm going to university anyway, so I won't have a full-time job until I'm 24-26.
