Checkpoints [serious answers please]

ok well im making a trucking gamemode (yes it seems a lot of people are now) and ive been using the truck missions include but after i have completed Stage 3 of build 1 i want to get rid of the include and make my own system for my gamemode BUT i found wiki to be a little confusing on explaining checkpoints and to me its more of a copy n paste kind of thing which is what i dont want im an average scripter and have been scripting for awhile but more as a hobbie but now i have spare time ive been getting into doing it a bit more but have never worked with checkpoints can someone explain how checkpoints are done and how i can do it differently than normal.

basically you store each check point in a aray and as each player can only have one cp active you need to loop through at aray to see if any are closer then the one currently shown and if there is, disable the old one and show the new one and if it is that same one that is closest just continue

i streamer maybe the way to go if you want a easy checkpoint system

im also a kiwi btw so if you want a hand just pm me ill be on most days

so its done by showing the closer checkpoint first rather than the furthest

i heard streamers make it easy especially when making 2 checkpoints show up at the same time'

not yet will do not this week but next and it will be hosted in Australia so our pings will be lowish
