Script & Compile PAWN On OSX!
#1

Found a problem, I am working on it.

Well, I was (am) on the highway, and was bored so i decided to try something out. I figured out how to script PAWN on OSX. And guess what.... IT COMPILES TOO!

First, get wine if you don't already have it.
HERE

Then get the windows server package and download that too, and (after wine is installed) right click on PAWNO.exe and open it with Wine. Then script away + COMPILE!

Now you don't need to get used to any other scripting program, and keep with what you are already comfortable with.

There are some settings that i am using, that may/maynot make a difference
In configuration, you must emulate a virtual desktop or it will not work. Use whatever size you want, i am just using 800X600.

The only problem, is that i am on my mac and can't run a server (dont wanna bother) so i cannot test to see if the .amx works, but it comiles fine and shows up in the folder so i dont think that there should be a problem.

Link for wine from MacOSXFan and he gave me the idea to try this.
Have fun coding!

Also can someone let me know if the .amx is functional thanks

Uhh there are threads that say how to code with other programs, and that you can't compile. I have tried other emulation software (crossover) to do this a while ago, and it didn't work. I also do not like quickpawn, i would rather use pawno.

Sorry, it sounded like you were saying no to checking it.
And it doesn't work? I'll check that myself later then.

Why not using QuickPawn?

Btw Server Hosting works with WineBottler (without command promt)

Edit : i've tested pawno via Crossover and ye the .amx is useable
