So, my friends having a problem with both SA AND SAMP.

First, he is using a legit copy and his disc is in good condition, he just bought it!

So hes having this problem. When he plays the original SA it works fine until he goes to load or start a new game, then it says GTA cant run properly and either he can press the button and it closes or he cant and his computer freezes. He then has to restart his computer.

When he goes to play SAMP, he loads up into a server (no matter what server) and he freezes, so he'd have to restart his computer.

His computer is good and can run the game fine no problems.

Hes running windows XP.

What could be the problem?

I apologize if this isn't the right place but its the only place I can find for help.

Did you use a patcher? And if It's legit and in good condition.. Something with your PC might be fucked up.

You modded the game?

Yes he did, he added a game save and various skin mods aswell as a few other vehicle skin mods and clothing mods, also DYOM.

The character skin mods I gave to him and they worked fine before.

However, I dont believe the mods he had would be the problem...

We're going to try to have him play without mods for awhile and see what happens. Cause we've noticed that a few days after he installs the game (sometime even the next day), it happens. So we're gonna wait a few and see what happens. If nothing we're going to install my mods, wait a bit then. And see if it truly was a problem with the mods he installed.

Unfortunatly, it is still screwing up. I dont know why. No mods either.

Did you fully remove GTA SA from the computer?

Yes, multiple times now and it keeps happening.

Make sure he has all the latest updates in DirectX and other software.
