MSN 2011 memory Leak
#1

Well the new beta MSN seems to have a sort of serious problem. It was fine for about a month no problems with it (I love it :3) However these past few days if i leave msn on for more than 1-2 hours it can use upwards to 2GB of ram.

I mean whut? I have searched but there seems to be no fix as i am aware of. Anyone have any information?

I have noticed a slight lack of performance from my computer these past few weeks. It may be a memory leak, but I'd doubt it.

I haven't noticed any issues with it. I have, however, noticed issues with AVG 2011 causing it to slow everything (including WLM) to a crawl. Once I uninstalled that it was fine. I know that's a bit off-topic, but if you're using that it could be the cause.

By the way, I don't think it's in BETA anymore.

That's after 30 mins (Only seems to happen if I leave conversations open)

The new version seems to be really buggy, I searched for hours a while ago for the older version but I can't find a trusted upload anywhere, so I just downloaded Pidgin. Is it just me, or but does the new MSN also limit contact lists even more too? The limit was something like 600 in the older versions, now it doesn't let me add any more contacts, even after deleting 200 or 300.

I'll continue on that one...

I have stopped using Microsoft's MSN client when they forced you to use version 8, some two years ago I think?
I switched to aMSN because it doesn't take as much resources of my system, it lacks some features but I only
want to use it to chat anyway, I don't care about all those other fancy graphics or features.

I remember when I was still using MSN 7.5, it made the fan on the graphics card of my old system spin up so you
could hear it when you started MSN.
What the hell is MSN even using that graphics card for to make it do that?.
It was an NVidia 7800GS so not just a light graphics card...

So yeah my opinion is that Microsoft's MSN client is shit, the Live messenger or whatever it's called nowadays.
