nope that didnt work it still comes up with the same error if this changes anything i had to reinstall windows XP Professional because i had a virus but it worked fine efore i reinstalled

it has nothing to do with windows xp its the game folder..

i was able to get it working once but i turned it off to join a different server and it didnt work anymore

still and its getting annoying (its one of my favourite games on multiplayer...) any ideas because i deleted the gta_sa.set that you said AFTER i tried running it again and again but kept crashing and deleting that file didnt do anything! Also Debug doesnt work (wth?)

I've just received some feedback about the 0x006F5636 exception.
One of my players couldn't start the game as it was crashing every single time during loading. Then he got a call on Skype and suddenly the game worked fine. We checked it several times and it really seems to work in his case. Connecting with someone through Skype I mean.

There are unexplainable things happening on Windows, including this one - it won't surprise me anymore.
