Hey guys,

I am writing this post in name of my friend, he has some texture issues with GTA V, some of them are dotted and mostly are character skins.

Intel Core i7-5700HQ
NVidia GTX 970M 2GB vRAM
16GB RAM

Does anyone know what might be the issue here? Thanks.

Verify your files via steam, and defrag your drive maybe.

Used to have things like this happen with ARMA.


Reset your graphics settings as well maybe.


If it's not those, it could be an issue with the video card itself.

Update graphics drivers.

GTA 5 uses a dotted matrix technique on some far away textures to reduce load on your pc while it draws frames. It shouldn't do that to objects so close to the camera.

I think the issues come from the video board or its drivers.
Ram shouldn't have such big influence over the rendering.
