HELP! How to unmod San Andreas?
#1

Okay so I modded my San Andreas and some of the models were messed up...
I completely wiped San Andreas off my computer, re downloaded and re installed it. The mods were still on?
I went on an IMG tool and deleted the .txd and .dff of each modded thing...
Now I can't even play San Andreas?
I've tried replacing the gta3.img with a brand new one, and it's still messed.
HELP!

Well it looks like you screw it up, did you made backups before installing?nd NO you shouldn't erase the .txd and .dff of each modded thing, that will do nothing -.- , go and download a new gta3.img hope this helps

Then you'll have to re-install the entire game.

That's is so wrong. Re installing SA-MP will not remove your mods. gta3.img is not part of SA-MP, it's part of GTA:SA. The best thing you can do is reinstall GTA:SA though.

What OS do you have?

It is on topic, so I think it's ok, since he didn't create another topic for the same subject.
Most people create new topics without searching (like ones with the presumably imminent death of sa-mp).

If your mods came with the install package, I'm afraid you can't do anything, but to search for a clean copy of the game. I suggest you look for the HOODLUM release. Most people on these forums are using it at the moment.

Even if your mods didn't came with the install package, if you didn't make back-ups of the original files, you cannot save your game.

Extreame 2011 edition sounds like a modded install, so rescue your single player save files if you have any, and perform a fresh install with the unmodded release.

And next time you install mods, learn how to create back-ups for scenarios like this.
