Best IDE for mac?
#1

Hello fellow scripters,

So recently I purchased a macbook pro for my study's and I quit scripting long ago because I got really boring for me but now I miss it allot and I want to begin doing some small development things again. So my question is: what is the best IDE for mac osx? what are your experiences with these IDE's etc.

Thank you for your time

Sublime Text, makes things so much easier and also has some nice themes / packages available. However the default one is really nice.

It isn't a completely paid for piece of software. You can use it without a license but like every so often something will come up saying to register it. It's kind of like how win rar acts.
Allright thanks guys, I will look into it.

It's because they use printers there that only work with apple software, so if I were to use a windows laptop it wont work with the drivers or something. Don't look at me I dont even know >.>, Originally i had an Lenovo laptop in mind with 4x better specs for half the price but yeah...

Did you go to university? 80% of the laptops used by students are Macbooks.

I use OS X for a lot of stuff, but I have no suggestion for IDEs if your goal is to write pawn scripts, because there's no working compiler for OS X and you can't play GTA on it so you can't test anything.

O well, I can always write some code in a text document and later copy it in a compiler. I also remember a website with pawn on it but thanks for the help guys. Luckily i still have a 3000,- gaming pc with windows at home haha.

I actually wrote a tutorial ages and ages ago on how to compile on mac, not sure if it still works but definitely did at the time.
