Flickering shadows & attachments
#1

Hello, I have had this problem for about 2 months now, when I attach objects, or look at shadows under a car (Low res shadows) I see this flickering, and sometimes on far-away objects like mountains, I have an example here, its called z-fighting:

Example on GTA IV, Just like san andreas:

It's a phenomenon of the depth test feature of your graphics card, where layers with the same height will look like they're fighting each other. Much relaible answer is, that your graphics card decides which layer dominates, also we know that GPUs include thousands of micro processors to render a whole image, hence the "fighting" squares may appear during the depht test.

Correct me if I'm wrong - but that is not SA-MP.

Chill out, he is describing an SA-MP issue, he simply added an exampe from GTA IV.

What you are describing usually happens when you put two objects directly onto each other. If you, for example, clone an object and simply change the colour of the duplicated object, you will see the flickering.
Simple solution is to move one object a bit so the two surfaces are not laying inside each other.
That is the only way SA-MP itself causes the problem. Everything else similar to this issue is caused by your graphics card and/or your GTA:SA settings.

But he's posting this here as if it's a SA-MP bug - if it happens in GTA IV as well it's clearly not a SA-MP bug - that's my point.

This is not an issue, this is proper graphics card logic. I thought I've already explained why...
