Can't connect to my own server?
#1

Hi, I just opened my server on 7777 port.
I can connect through my local ip, but not through my external ip.
I've asked other people if they see my server ON, and yes. They can even connect to it.

This is weird. I've reinstalled SA-MP many times. And it's always the same.

What can be happening?

Thanks in advance.

You cannot connect to your own server because if you are hosting it off your computer... It won't let you connect on the same IP. To connect to it, use this IP for your home network:

127.0.0.1:7777

Hope I helped ya

Forward your port.

A) First check if your port is forwarded, which can be done here: http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/
B) Forward your port, easy tutorials over here: http://portforward.com/

If this doesn't work try to connect, go to your samp root folder(where you installed it). And launch the SAMP debug, after that click on the LAUNC LOCALHOST button. That will hopefully work !

Hi, my ports are already forwarded.

I've just discovered that other people connect to my server through my external ip, but I have to connect through my local ip. I tested it, and it works. Don't know how.

However, I'm sure of I could connect on my external ip before.

Anyway, thanks a lot.

Try to re-open a new port...
With this IP (I think) you can join ONLY you in the server 192.168.2.6 ...I mean that your friends OR other players can't find the server...So you you open a new port.
If it will not work please add me on skype to help you: gregor.kouk

Maybe your firewall is blocking it?

Most of the people who posted here seem to havent read a single of your posts.
Ports are open, everyone can join, but can only join using the localhos, and not with the external ip.
Usually this should work, but might be possible that your internet provider or router blocks this. Like the router gets a request to the ext ip, tries to locate it, finds himself and drops the request.
