Friends Can't join my game
#1

Hi all,

I'm a little new to this forum so this would be my first post (correct my if I posted it wrong).

I am setting up my own server with maps etc... I downloaded the ''PPC Trucking gamemode'' and played it local with friends, all fine.

Now I've made a ''Virtual Windows Server'' on my PC and got connection to the internet. I've read so many topics and looked so many videos but, my friends can't connect. When I give my ip and thet put it in the client they see my server-name but when the connect it says: Server didn't respond. Retrying... (And I can join only local)

- I've portforward port 57777 to a local STATIC ip adress : 192.168.178.10X:7777
- Again: Yes my server does have a static IP
- I gave my ''outdoor'' ip adress to my friends with port :57777 at the end of the IP-adress
- Port BEGINS: 57777 and is going local to: 7777

I aslo tryed it with a clean server so: Download server from samp, set config-setting and set it on. Again my friends cant join.

My config:
Quote:

echo Executing Server Config...
lanmode 0
rcon_password ******
maxplayers 50
port 7777
hostname PowerPC603 trucking server
plugins sscanf streamer
gamemode0 PPC_Trucking 1
filterscripts gl_realtime gl_actions labels
announce 1
query 1
weburl www.sa-mp.com
onfoot_rate 40
incar_rate 40
weapon_rate 40
stream_distance 300.0
stream_rate 1000
maxnpc 10

Plz help me out

Thanks,

Jeremy

Did you compile the Gamemode with the latest version of SA-MP server? And, try to change the port to 7777, because that's SA-MP's port

I think thats the only thing to try....
But why? My friends are getting the server-name, so that means there is connection?

I see you have "lanmode 0", I don't know a lot of things in scripting but I know there it must be "lanmode 1"

I hope it will be helpful (I don't speak very well english, sorry for that but I'm Romanian).

If you port-forwarded port no. 57777, then why is the port in server.cfg 7777? Replace that with 57777

When I Used "Virtual PC" I Got noticed that it may not show to all computers. Have you tried any server checker tool, like http://monitor.sacnr.com?

I know this may be a dumb question but its always good to double check did you set up your router to port forward from your external ip to your internal ip. Also I know with some VM's they have their own set of firewalls and weird network protocols. I own a hosting company and I would be glad to take a look at it but before you do this try using your external ip as the ip you try to connect with and see if that works.

If nothing works pm me and we can use team viewer or something
Hope I was of some help,
Mark
