550 server.cfg: Overwrite permission denied in FTP

When I try to import my server.cfg file into FTP it says 550 server.cfg: Overwrite permission denied and It doesn't work.. Any idea?

Your host might not have AllowOverwrite set to true in their configuration file. Perhaps you can use it as root and port 22?

Hawk to make it easier for us to troubleshoot, can you please tell us if you host it on your own or if it's a paid or other's host and if it's Linux or Windows and if you can, which FTP service the server use? Also, do you try it using port 21 or 22?

I tried both port and I'm using a paid host(hostingtime.de), I heard the host is Windows. I transferred it using Core FTP

This is a problem with your host, not allowing permission for you to Read/Edit/Write to the file.

Ask them to CHMOD your home-dir, to "CHMOD /mydir 1777" or just 1777.
