Awhile back I bought the downloadable version of San Andreas from Amazon.com, and got version 1.01. I tried to use the downgrade patch to get it to version 1, but it won't work. It says I have an unknown version of the game. Since Amazon.com is a website where I could get the official copy of the game, I didn't think that using the downloaded version of the game wouldn't work. Does this mean that I have to get a physical copy of the game, on disc?

Above posts deleted. warez/crack talk is not allowed here.
If it's the same as the steam version, the downgrader was never made to work with that executable.
Though i could probably put together a new one to do so, the problem is there may be other differences in the game. I know nothing about amazons offering, sadly.

That Game doesn't work as COMPABILITY and it shows (insert CD) Doesn't matter with Run As Administrator.
