How do Dot.tk earn profit by providing free domain registration? what keeps them running?

How do you earn by just connecting IPs with domains? That's just a server you need...

They earn by giving away special domain names etc. And cut the loose by deleting inactive sites.

Their domains last for ever and you can renew it after 12 mths..

They have free domains becuz you can ''upgrade'' them for money.
So they advertise a great domain by giving a free one. But it's some demo from the upgraded version.
So some people will like it alot and buy a upgraded version with all stuffs etc.
