What to upgrade next?
#1

Before I hear all the 'your computers good enough, you're spoilt if you upgrade it more', it's my money so I can do as I choose, and it's all been earned by myself at work.

So here are my current specifications:
AMD Phenom II X6 1055T 2.8GHz
8.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3 Corsiar Vengance 1666MHz RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti
WD 1TB SATA-II 3.0Gb/s
WD 1TB SATA-II 3.0Gb/s

I was thinking grabbing myself a OCZ Agility 3 SATA SSD 60GB drive to improve boot-up and general Windows 7 performance speed. Reason for this is I got recommended by Novatech to upgrade my HDD next, and also:

Apparently my GTX550Ti isn't as top quality as I thought? I got recommended to the next one up, the GTX560Ti? Anyone have this card? I recently got BF3 and I want to run it freely on Ultra. Also would I need another 8GB RAM (Can get for Ј40)?

I have the GTX 570 and it can crush any game on the market. I've heard some good things about the GTX 560 Ti though. Also, is your card from EVGA? If it is then you should look into their "Step Up" program which allows you to only pay the difference between the card you want and the card you already have instead of paying the full price of a new card.

Your specs are over good. About the CPU i prefer Intel which is more powerful than AMD.

AMD is not more powerful than Intel as they offer completely different technologies which can be used for different purposes. But in this case, Intel would be better for him because he is gaming and Intel > AMD with gaming.

Not sure if it's running at 1666Mhz, and well I've got a AMD so I'm not changing that out, will cost too much money and hassle.

The only advantage of AMD is that it's dirt cheap. Intel outperforms it in every other scenario (and I completely agree with your point).

Well I'm thinking of an SSD already, maybe a new GFX card. Buying a totally new motherboard and processor will be a waste of money and time, won't it?
