Sever problem - (IP *.*.*.* - Banned)
#1

Hello

I have my own server from about one year now. During the past few weeks my server has been getting attacked. The problem that I am facing is that everyone in my server is getting banned. Somehow, the hacker (unknown) manages to ban everyone like this: IP *.*.*.* has been banned (Got this from my server logs). Everyone then gets disconnected and are unable to join until i remove the ban string from the ban logs.

They've also been changing the settings in the server.cfg file. I've changed passwords for all of my accounts numerous times but I still face this problem.

A solution to this would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you.

Is your server company hosted or home hosted?

Then hacker probably have your FTP password or something, change it,also, use plugins like whirepool to hash players passwords. Change RCON password to, do not use password like your name for example, is easy to crack, use something like g55gadfghjk4, this is harder to crack.

I've done all of that. I've changed FTP and RCON passwords many times. I use KeyPass and they're all complicated passwords.

Try disabling RCON (temporarily).

Place "rcon 0" in your server.cfg file.

if you got in your server '' questions and answer after registering'' So if you fail password,it shows a box of your own question like '' lolololo'' most of people write the same answer as question!

I had this problem. Some hackers login like this in accounts and ban people.

Check your sub-accounts, check if any sub-accounts have been created, if so, delete them immediately. Also, consider changing your Volt-Host email account password, the email that you use to access your Volt-Host. If you receive further trouble, check to see if any of your account settings have been changed, such as your email account, and disable any firewalls that might be on your server. Also check to see if any secondary emails have been added.
