How can I install Windows 8 into VMWare?
#1

Hello,

I heard of some people I can install Windows 8 in VMWare. So I started trying, but I always get stuck on this screen:

I hope I can get it running - I couldn't get it running on a different hard disk too cause it just kept saying "Failed to install driver" if I selected the driver to install of Intel screen. If I won't manage to, I'll use SandBox.

I get the same on the workstation, so I don't think that is the problem.

Trying anyway

Yes, i wrote in some topics about the WMWare Station. I tested it with Debian (Linux) and all Windows versions and i dont have any problem. I didn't test with Windows 8 yet but i will soon and if it won't work might be the beta version.

Did you got this screen too? If yes, how can I fix it?

Edit: It seems to lead me to the same screen! ~,~"

Select your VM and rightclick on Prcessor.
A VMWare Settings windows should popup under processor

check if this:

is off or on

I checked it but it doesn't make difference. I just found out it's not the screen, but it says it needs drivers for the CD-ROM driver. Though, I don't know which they are. Can I virtualize them too somehow?
