My server may still be on progress,but I have some big issue with administration stuff.
The currect admins that will be are me and a friend from Romania (maybe 2 more from Israel and Sweden,but not sure).
Ofcourse that within the days,we won't be able to handle the server,the server will gain more players,and some hackers ofcourse.So 2 admins will not enough.
But if I want to add new admins - what do I do? How can I trust people that they will really be good admins and not just ban random players?
It all starts and ends with trust.Although someone can play the server for a long time,and show his loyalty to the server,but when he becomes an admin,he is trying to ruin the server and abusing the players.
So I wanted to ask you all - how did you add admins to your server?
Please share your story in here,its really important to me

Active players, if you get members, good members will come eventually too.

Dont give away Admin positions to a player just like tht, instead u should give admin positions to only vip members; cuz thy are the only ones who would care for the upliftment of the server.

I wouldn't have given admin to anyone who ask.

Active, old, respected players should get promoted to become admin without the player asking for it. And ofcourse, do a little research on him (Without telling him, check logs etc.) and see if he is qualifyed for the job. And then if you think you've found the right player, ask him if it is a job he want.

Thats what I ment to do,but even they can not be trustable.
Maybe they were loyal the whole time just to get an admin and try to ruin the server.

Good members will WAIT for admin to earned, and bad players will ask for it within 10 mins of being on the server.

This. If people start deliberately "asking" for admin. Without you having either mentioned anything about looking for admins, or have a thread opened at your forums, you shouldn't select them.

I think this has been mentioned before, but read the serverlogs from time to time, select a random user, and examine how he/she behaves. If he/she's helpful, has a calm and friendly tone towards others, and tries to solve problems on the server, despite him/her not being able to actually do anything about it yet, well then; You have your admin.

Interview them on msn and ask how they would respond in certain situations. Then give them a small admin level, and if they have prooven themself after a few weeks/month promote them.

Most of the administators on servers I play on, have been there for at least a year.
