CPU is quite good, I have the same and you probably mean 6MB cache and 2.5 GHz. Just buy a decent card, and you have a minor gaming PC.

I have a ATI Radeon HD 5770 atm. Maybe you should buy the 6870, they're quite cheap for such performance.

Nope. But my card should run it. I know people with the same card running GTA IV on high (sometimes very high) and getting decent FPS (35 - 40+). Unfortunately it's doesn't for me.

With the 6870 you will be able to run GTA IV, i have no real experience with your CPU, but a Quad Core at 2,5GHz should work generally, how much RAM and what type it is would help but aslong as you got atleast DDR2 and atleast 4GB GTA IV should run.


BUT GET NVIDIA IF YOU REALLY WANT YOUR GTA4 TO RUN WELL, even if AMD/ATI's graphics cards are VERY good for it's price their drivers are NOT made or optimized for GTA4..
