i have port-forwarded on my router and my server comes up in the list but every time i try to connect its says:

The server didn't respond....retrying and it never works!

Can anyone help?

If you're trying to connect to your own portforwarded server, don't use the IP you give everyone else. Simply do type add server in your favorites and type in :7777 or just the port of your portforwarded IP.

Ok then you join with :7777 and other players with your other static ip which is on http://www.whatsmyip.org/

Or make sure your firewall is turned off

You dont have to shut firewall. Just add SA:MP trough it
