Heres a idea i had on my balls for quite a while now.

I was hoping that in the next version of SA-MP , You can have seperate tab's for each type of server , Such as

RP ~ RP Server's only
DM ~ Deathmatch server's only
FreeRoam ~ Freeroam Server's Only
, Etc ,

I would really like this because its so hard to find a good server when theres 10000 server's in the same tab .

Or better yet add a filter box for HostName, then you can simply type dm for a list of dm servers.

Probably by specifying what type of GM you're running in a server's configuration file. Or via keywords in the, "Mode," category.

What are you talking about?. When official tab was available some of the top SA-MP servers where not even on the official list.

And on topic I think it would be a cool idea. Now I don't think you should be able to set the name of the gamemode yours is but you choose an number and if your server is none of them than yeah number 0 or whatever.

If you put like number 2 than its for Roleplay and if people put in Roleplay only it shows it.

Again, it also could be abused and some people would like to input some idiotic ideas into it and their server will only appear in the internet list also we will get more people spamming Bug Reports / Server Support asking why their servers are not on the tab(s).

I'd rather again just type in the filter box to filter it.

Like you said, some top servers survived without official list but did it have as much players as Official servers? I remember from 2008/2009 the official servers were always full on peak times. Lets use Los Santos Role Play as an example. Do you think that LSRP will survive without the Hosted tab featuring it? Yeah, I guess with the script and UCP it makes an incredible script but after awhile people will always change and if it didn't have Hosted Tab it would have died in around 2011. ( Totally, no offense just my opinion. )

Official tab wasn't indeed full of 'top servers', it had servers that overviewed what SA-MP had to offer.
At the end the list got put full of junk too.

It wasn't removed because of the servers, it was removed because of the way people acted just to get into the official tab.

I disagree with the new tabs idea, 'RP' and stuff. An 'advanced' feature on the SA-MP internet list search would be good, and only that. It's lacking a lot of options.

For things like that, the filter for modes is there,
and it would work fine, if it wouldnt get abused this much

I know about the box where you type it , But it's mostly wrong , I searched Cops n Robbers , It failed , So i decided to browse the tab , and i found a server named Cops n Robbers , Meaning the searching system is very in-acurate , Mostly for me!
