What means that ? its 2.26 ghz or 2.53 ghz or if he needs more power in a game it activates the turbo boost so i have 2.53 ?

"Intel Turbo Boost Technology is activated when the Operating System (OS) requests the highest processor performance state (P0)."

Yes.

Yes, that's what it means. It was basically designed for laptops so they didn't consume more power then they needed to off battery power. For desktops, I don't see why it's an issue, but it's handy when it comes to rendering in 3DS Max or something like that.

Depends on which series of the Core or Pentium cpu's you're talking about.

Now if you're talking about both cores working together, yes, that's what they're designed for. I could pretty much match up the Core 2 Duo with the i3 because they're about the same. i5 has a little more power, and i7 is high end. I'm using the new Pentium series in my laptop, and it's a little below the Core 2 Duo.

Clock rates aren't everything though. You have to take into account the wattage that's being put into the CPU and the technology. For example, newer CPU's are designed to do more on less power. ie, a 65w Intel Core 2 Duo @ 3.33GHz. From the technology side, you want something with the newest SSE.
