This depends, every roleplay server has their own hangout, i'm saying this because, when you say: Rping in a place, it's best to roleplay in the hot spots in a roleplay server, when I mean hot spots I mean the spots where players hangout the most, like Valhalla's hangout Unity Station, it's best for more RP action. I prefer not to hang out in a spot where nobody goes, because obviously you're going to get bored and notice nobody will come and you won't be able to RP alot. Just bring your 'guys' to a place where you see alot of players at all the time, there you will have alot of fun with different RP situations.

I know this because I was once a RPer in Valhalla, and noticed everyone hanged out at Unity Station, I avoided that spot, and got bored driving in circles looking for RP action. Once I went there, I began RPing many stories etc..

The first paragraph you said was already answered by my first reply. If you're talking about a gang hangout, or hideout? That's a different story, I will answer that anyways.

When I role-played I were in several gangs on different Roleplay servers. I was a blood on Valhalla, and a Crip on True Roleplay, from the hideout, I noticed it was in the most cramped spots ever lol. It was like in places where people would wonder around sometimes, like good examples are dark alleys, parking lots. When I was a blood, the hangout was at a dark alley in Vinewood, we had enough space for everything though, that's what made it perfect for a gang hideout, or a family gang to chill.

Enough about my experience, the best places to go was what I said about alleys and places that will fit gang cars, and other materials. Oh, not to mention a house, or a property to own, To be more realistic for a hideout, it will be a property. A hideout isn't most likely a outside. The quiet places or near the public places are the best spots, don't go too far away from the public, it will leave your gang inactive and farther to travel to do whatever your gang does, also don't make your hideout near a Police department, that's one of the worst ideas ever, it's easier for your gang to get involved in crimes.

This is all the info I can really give you, good luck.

For me, when I'm off duty with a few other off duty officers. We like to go to a few different places.

LS - The bar just down the road from the gym.
SF - Jizzy's.
LV - One of the Casinos to gamble.

Of course, the various houses that we may have.

Getting drunk in your mates RP house is always a fun choice!

Also it depends what team are you.

For example if you are a gangster(Los Santos) you can go behind the CJ House or Lowrider Garage. Also for San Fierro Docks is a very good place that you will be 99% alone(you dont want someone to spectate you!). For Las Venturas there are not many gang places. Try to find one that there wont be many people and with some boxes many trees, somewhere that you can hide.

San Fierro is a really good environment to role play locally, whereas Las Venturas is quite open and would be often used for bigger situations in Role play instances. Los Santos is just the same as San Fierro, except it's used more and has more features in terms of industrial sites.
