I tried using the gtasapatch.zip which told me my version was unknown so that didn't work. Then the gta_sa.exe replacement seemed to work at first but when the game is at the loading screen the progress bar goes up to about 40% and stops moving/loading.

Is there any chance of getting this mod to work with my version? Or should I forget it and attempt to get a refund?

I had the same problem you can either get a refund and order the 2.0 jewel case verison DVD from walmart or have someone around here give you a v1 exe the guys around here are awsome with helping you out

I did replace the exe with what I believe is the 1.0 version and that got the game to start but it gets stuck on the loading screen. I dont know if theres other files I need to replace or what.
