remote access
#1

I'm having a little problem, for some reason my server crashes a few times a day.
The server is hosted on a friends computer (i cannot edit anything to server unless I e-mail new script)

The problem is that he's not home for a week, so how can I FULLY restart the server from my computer ?
(I can access the remote rcon console) But I don't have a server restart cmd, only the gmx command.

Ideas ?

Not any ideas for that sorry, But when he gets back maybe you could use something like TeamViewer (www.teamviewer.com) and set-up a remote connection so you can edit and re-start the server without needing to email new scripts or ask your friend to restart

What I suggest is to have on premise remote support appliance installed such as RHUB remote support appliances. It allows you to remotely reboot the supported computer or server in the regular mode or the safe mode.

You can also use UltraVNC.
