How is this possible. They rejoin after being banned the same time as it takes to re-launch their game. Is there seriously no way at all to ban these people?

by using proxies?
well if you use proxies you can easily change them n then rejoin.
maybe they made an app for that so they can rejoin instantly
or they just restart their modems so they get a new ip...

rangeban means banning the users of their complete isp on the range of the ip(aka the first 2 numbers of the ip)
so i dunno how u should mean a superrangeban.

But I don't think that u could connect to your server after this
