Notepad++
#1

Hi, I was following this tutorial https://sampforum.blast.hk/showthread.php?tid=174046 but for some reason everything works flawlessly except the auto completion and functions parameters hints, I tried to re-do that step 3 times and it doesn't work, even if I press CTRL + SPACE nothing happens, same goes to CTRL + SHIFT + SPACE

Are you sure the PAWN.xml is saved as an .xml? Also make sure that under your Preferences... that Enable auto-completion on each input is ticked; and Function completion is ticked.

Remember that the PAWN.xml goes in your program's main folder. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Notepad++\plugins\APIs"

Yes, I am sure. I even tried to rename the file to Pawn.xml and in the userDefineLang.xml rename the language name to Pawn instead of PAWN, but that didn't help.

It works now, no idea why it didn't work before.
Since I am using some kind of an API in Notepad++ to program my gamemode, do the PAWN API developer requires a credit or something?

You can if you like. However Notepad++ is an open source program. If you wanna be nice of course give them credit but I don't believe it's required.

I see, thanks
Also, an off-topic question, if I program my gamemode on Notepad++/Pawno, is it required to be open source or can I not share my script anywhere and therefore it will be a closed source.

Anything YOU personally create in Notepad ++ is yours. Just like anything you make in Python is YOURs etc... You don't have to share anything you don't want. But be known if you send your script to one person there is a chance that it could get sent out all over the internet.
