Can I run a samp server on VPS without using root access? Just using FTP? because I bought a VPS that doesn't allow root anymore... Help me please, I don't want this to be waste of money..

I don't think so that possible that you can run server without acessing it from root access. FTP is used to upload data. So, you can't start the server from FTP

It's not uncommon that direct root access is disallowed from SSH. Once the machine is set up there is also very little need for root. All services should be run under one or more less privileged user accounts.

Either that, or OP is using "VPS" and "webhost" interchangeably.

No, you can't run a SA:MP server just with FTP.

What kind of a retarded provider sells a VPS without root access? That's like paying for a whole cake when you're getting a slice of it.
