I'm a bit technologically dumb. I'm trying to download the multiplayer for San Andreas, which is only available for PC. I'm using Wine. It seems as if it's working but then it tells me to choose where to install it. I created a folder on my desktop called SAMP and chose that but it won't let me continue- the "Install" button is locked. Can anybody tell me how to deal with this? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

You need to select your GTA San Andreas directory, in which SA:MP will install itself.

SA:MP is a modification to the original GTA San Andreas game, so you will need to own the game first.

SAMP needs GTA SA game files,so you need to locate your GTA folder amd install SAMP there

SA:MP will not work without GTA:SA files. Its also recommended to use official GTA:SA disc or buy it from Steam, because its legal, and some cracked/free to download GTA:SA are modified or have some files missing to save file size while download or to avoid copyright issues.
