When i try and join a server the game opens singleplayer for some reason. I'm using steam san andreas. Any ideas?

Steam is currently not supported with sa-mp. It will not work.

If you have copied SA-MP files from somewhere else, it won't work.

Re-install the client, this should fix.

Remove StreamFix.asi if you have it.

Did you get any run-time error before GTA SA started?

There must be missing in you GTA:SA folder. I'd better suggest that you should reinstall your GTA: SA folders or try to delete your current GTA: SA folder in you LOCAL DISK D and if you have an extra GTA: SA folder in your flashdrive, try to copy the GTA: SA folder from the flashdrive and copy it to the LOCAL DISK D.

yeah got it fixed first i had to get the 1.0 exe and then geet a downgrader patch because steam removed all the songs from the game with an update which makes our game crash
