Weird lag in Windows 8.1
#1

Hello,

I'm creating this topic because I did a clean install of Windows 8.1 yesterday (yes, it's valid, don't worry about that). I installed all of my drivers, including my GPU NVIDIA GeForce GT550M. This GPU is able to run GTA San Andreas on maxed settings without lag easily, so it's definitely not too weak. So, I installed GTA and SA-MP, launched it, but all it does it giving late responses to my mouse, and the rest of the game lags. Typing lags as well, so it's not frame-limiter related.

I'm quite sure there's a solution somewhere because I had this issue before, last time when I used Windows 8.1. The lag does not occur on any Windows version lower than 8.1 (so Windows 8 = fine)

1) SA-MP version: 0.3z
2) Windows version: Windows 8.1
3) Video card type: NVIDIA GeForce GT 550M
4) IP:Port (if any) of the server you are trying to play on: American Trucking, server.americantrucking.info:6872
6) If you are crashing loading SA-MP, please say whether GTA:SA single player works: SP lags as well.
7) Do you have any other GTA:SA mods installed? e.g. new vehicles : No

Reply down here if you got anything to contribute regarding this please.

Edit: The lag is particularly mouse lag.

Edit: Issue fixed, just install the latest updates from Windows Update.

It is a known fact that SA:MP does not go along that well in Win8 or Win8.1... There are some ways to fix those issues though (as Jochemd said in the post above)
