Probably the touch screen. Can you provide the error? What does it say?

Maybe there's a problem with your GTA:SA installation. Is your game cracked or did you legit purchase it?

Try to reinstalling it and do you have the latest version of the client

First of all, make sure your GTA:SA version is 1.0. SA-MP wont load on any other versions and If you do not own version 1.0 you may always downgrade it using a patch. Make sure your SA-MP is in the correct folder (correct directory). If you have any mods remove them as they might be the cause to your crash (as it is a crash).

I have Windows 8.1 and I can run GTA:SA smoothly with mods and such.

Hope I somewhat helped.

Change gta_sa to Compatibility mode. (Windows 7)

Right click gta_sa.exe>Properties>Compatibility(Upper part)>Compatibility Mode>Tick the box "Run this program in compatibility mode for:">Then, choose Win 7.>Done!

Hope it helps you.

Have you tried deleting your options/settings file? Go to - Documents - GTA San Andreas User Files, and look for a file called "gta_sa.set". Delete it. If you have heavily optimized your settings you may want to make a backup of it just in-case this doesn't work.

If this does not work try running as admin, running in comp. mode, etc. It may be a computer/hardware related issue.
