Hello,
I've got a small problem with automounting USB devices in KDE and it
looks like it's permission related.
First I was always getting this message (from Konqueror):
A security policy in place prevents this sender from sending this
message to this recipient, see message bus configuration file (rejected
message had interface "org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Volume" member "Mount"
error name "(unset)" destination "org.freedesktop.Hal")
So after checking the D-BUS, HAL, KDE media:/ Howto on the Gentoo Wiki
site the only thing I had not done was adding the right user to the
plugdev group but this has been taken care of now but it's still a no go
(I've reloaded the affected services too).
The message has changed however:
Connection is closed
I'm sure tis something simple and I can solve it by putting an entry in
/etc/fstab and having it user-mountable but sometimes the device node
changes so this is not the preferred solution.
Anything I can try next?
