Can people use their gaming mic while playing in-game?

Not sure if anyone else in the server could hear you, for 2 years i've played SA:MP i never heard one person use a mic. So i was wondering if using a gaming mic is incompatible to this game? Or is everyone too afraid to talk?

You need external client, like TS or Ventrilo to talk to other people.

Because voice chat isn't a feature in SA-MP, you have to download a voice chat program (such as TeamSpeak or Ventrilo, as mentioned above, or something more personal like Skype) if you want to talk to other people who also use the program. These programs are not related to SA-MP.

Here's a list of programs that are commonly used:

1) Teamspeak: http://www.teamspeak.com/
2) Ventrilo:http://www.ventrilo.com/
3) Mumble(Or Murmur): www.mumble.com

The most popular and used one is TeamSpeak.
(I personally prefer mumble, I use it on my servers.)

Like everyone else said. Voice communication isn't an integrated feature within SA-MP. Most communities will have an external medium for voice communication such as Ventrilo or Teamspeak.
