First of all:
Sorry if this has been discussed about in the past, but googling "sitea-mp.com site should be updated" didn't yield any threads about it, so i decided to make my own.

So, the thing is, these forums are great, there's new posts every minute, the forums get improved from time to time, etc. What doesn't change, however, is the "actual" sa-mp.com website. It currently only has news about past releases (and there haven't been that many releases anyway), ages-old pictures of old versions of SA:MP, a page to download SA:MP, a link to the long-dead SA:MP dev channel, and a link to the SA:MP wiki (Which is, by the way, a really great place too!).

Yes, i know most of you think "The site offers exactly what it should", but IMO at least some new pictures/videos should be added in there. The main page is very minimal in content compared to the forums and the wiki.

I don't know about you, but i never check the sa-mp.com site out, only when i have a new installment of windows or i need to reinstall samp for other reasons.

Tell me your opinions on the main site, is it good as it stands (in my opinion the current site is good, but it could be so much better), or do you think it should face some improvements?

This is NOT a complaint, this is a discussion.
Please, don't post stuff like "The devs don't have time to update the page, they are focusing in developing SA:MP and on their own lifes". I know that. This is just a discussion.

The site does the job it is required to do. The only thing I would like is the development bar back.

I think that the site should be improved. New pictures, more news updates, a dev channel, and there you have it!

Well, atleast we would know that 10% of the development's been done. It's not always going stay at 10% forever too, and those who can't wait can happily suicide. And as they say, anything is better than nothing.

Newbies do not directly jump to forum.sa-mp.com, they go to the main website first or search on ******, and ****** always displays the main website unless anything else is stated, obviously. Also, to download the SA:MP client, you have to go to the main website's download page. So yeah, there will be a certain increase in the views of the main page, just like the forums.
