Copying GTA SA Folder to new PC system (Possible or not?)
#1

Hello. I got 2 questions to have about.

So, I got a old PC where Win7 is installed. It lags a lot, so I'm thinking of moving to WinXP or either Linux. I cannot find my GTA SA CD's right now, so, I am thinking of doing something.

I want to copy the folder of GTA SA to my HDD, and after I format I can put it back. I want to know if this method will be working on either Linux or WinXP. I bet it may work on WinXP, but I ain't sure about Linux. If you can help me with this, thank you.

Greets.

It'll probably make it so your radio doesn't work and you'll lag on entering cars/interiors

My GTA SA is still the same installation as it was 3 formats back (and I'll try to keep it alive with ubuntu)

Wine isnt made to run games. It might start if youre lucky, but I doubt it would run fast enough to play it.
In general copying San andreas is no problem.

So you're saying 0 != 0? I don't get it ...

I'm pretty sure it will work fine with Windows XP, but I do not know about the Linux part.

A friend of mine used to play SA:MP with me using WINE. It would be a resource hog, yes, but it's still possible.
